Chemical Peels

How does it work?

Chemical peels are designed to preserve the architecture of the skin, while simultaneously stimulating the cell's fibroblasts to help form connective tissue and increase the quantity of collagen in the dermis. We use the Environ "Cool" Peeling System which has a lower concentration of acid and is left on the skin longer to give the effect of stronger, harsher peels which are typically left on the skin for a short amount of time.

What kind of results can I expect?

Rough and textured skin will respond very successfully to a peel as will skin that needs an extra dose of hydration, or moisture.

How frequently do I need treatments?

Frequency depends on your particular skin condition. The good news is: Chemical Peels can be done as frequently as once a week.

Does it hurt?

During your Chemical Peel, you may experience a warm, tingling sensation but most clients report no discomfort.

Is it safe?

Chemical Peels are very safe, and they entail little to no downtime.

What happens after each treatment?

After your peel, your skin may feel tight and slightly warm.  Youmay also experience mild redness or a tingling sensation for one to three days following the procedure. You will notice a mild to moderate peeling of the skin which is a sign that the treatment is working. But anything temporarily unsightly can be concealed with mineral makeup.

Who should get this service?

Generally, all skin types are candidates for Chemical Peels. If you have darker skin, talk to your esthetician about the type of problems you’d like to have treated, as special steps may need to be taken to ensure an optimal skin tone is revealed after the procedure.
